Mosaic Tile Design
1. When doing the layout for a mosaic tile design for your shower it's a good idea to stop your tile before the perimeter of the glass. This way none of the hardware or glass has to be mounted, notched, or sealed over your mosaic tile.
Examples:
Mosaic Tile Shower
If you must run your mosaic past the glass line this is what is required, notches in the glass, which adds cost to the shower.
Glass Notches
If you run mosaic past the door line, the door requires notches.
Caulking the gap
The glass has to be notched if the mosaic tiles runs past the glass door line. This can be pricier than ending the tile before the glass door line.
